Is insomnia causing you to be stressed? I know what you are feeling because like most of the human beings in this world we are all exposed to stress and pain of some kind. Sometimes it is reflected in our way of being while in other cases it just gives us a terrible headache when trying to fall asleep. That’s why there are so many people around that are suffering from sleep problems and have no clue what to do about it. Their mind is too preoccupied with the daily job, family and health issues and they simply either ignore or don’t have the necessary time to consider certain cures for sleeping better. However, while having trouble falling asleep is one of the many existing forms of insomnia, it still bothers many people. As a former sufferer of such symptoms, I decided to start writing about it and share my experience with the rest of the world, hoping to help those who are in need of solutions for enjoying their sleep naturally, without any medication, pills or expensive prescription from your therapist.

Several Reasons Why You Can’t Fall Asleep
Many people wonder, “Why can’t I fall asleep normally, like most of the people do?”, “What is happening to me?” The answer is relatively simple. All you need to do in order to understand your problem is try to view your life from a perspective that you never had before. Plenty of reasons that stop people from having the chance to properly rest during the nighttime exist. As it seems to be, most of these appear because of stress. While getting rid of stress is something that we won’t talk about here on this site, it is important to know that you should try to find solutions to control your emotions in order to sleep better. It has been proven that not only negative emotions might produce you trouble falling asleep or even wanting to sleep. Positive emotions (any kind of super joy) can also make your brain and mind function like never before and force to suddenly think about many aspects of your life. Sometimes it is necessary to take your time and analyze your way of doing things and you might find the cure.
Trouble Falling Asleep – Why Can’t I Fall Asleep Normally?
So, in most of the cases, these are the reasons why you are having trouble falling asleep.
1) You are unable to control your emotions (feelings).
2) You are in big pain (head, heart, stomach, tooth ache, etc)
3) You have slept during the day for several full hours.
4) You are not tired enough (lazy people can’t sleep much)
5) You took some medication that is keeping you awake.
6) You have changed your place (accommodation)
7) You are sleeping in a very inconvenient place (bus, airplane, car, etc)
9) You are experiencing frequent urination problems (having to go to the toilet to often)
These nine aspects related to your problem of getting to sleep are the most common one. While these are really popular, there might be many others. However, many can be included in the first point related to your emotions and feelings. Thinking about your loved person, about your girl/boy friend, about your spouse, about someone who recently died can also make you feel extremely irritated or anxious and these are one of those confusing feelings that do not let you sleep normally. Sometimes it is pretty hard to keep control of your thoughts and not everyone can do it. In fact, if you don’t train your mind, you are going to be totally controlled by it. That’s why people are taking medications and pills to fall asleep and don’t even want to hear about working out their potential of going to sleep and enjoying their bed time naturally without any chemical help from exterior. Any trouble falling asleep can be solved without prescriptions, you just have to listen to your heart. In order for you to be able to sleep normally, you need to get rid of one of the nine reasons why you stay awake, mentioned above. While sometimes it is just a matter of time till you figure out the perfect cure, there are people who have chronic problems with falling asleep and can’t do anything about it.
Living in a materialistic world makes us think this way. Each problem has a physical explanation or solution. Well let me tell you that it is not always so. Meditation can sometimes be required in order to calm your mind and be able to get rid of all the unwanted thoughts. I’m not talking about an obsessive disorder of any kind, but sometimes thinking too much about something can get you obsessed. Sleeping troubles are a big pain in any family. Not being able to rest during night means a totally frustrated and irritated mood the next day. Sometimes, simply learning to relax will help; and while this can sound extremely easy, it isn’t, at least for most of the people in this world. You need to fix your trouble getting to sleep by practicing certain breathing exercises. Point number four of the rest that we shared earlier says that not being tired enough can make you stay away. Yes it is true, but directly the opposite can also cause insomnia. When you are exhausted, or simply hungry, you also cannot sleep.
I’ve talked with people who recommend certain aromatherapies and meditations, proper diet, so forth and so on. While this might sound or look cool and exotic, sometimes you just need to figure out what are you lacking in this life? Is it someone that you love? Is it something that you don’t have enough? Are you in some kind of serious health trouble that needs to be solved? All things happen because of certain reason; the moment you will be able to find the answer and solution to that reason you’ll be able to treat your insomnia and stop the trouble that is not letting you fall asleep normally.
